Kazang Overview

Kazang is an exciting business opportunity - It is a packaged business solution that relies on wireless communication (GPRS) and / or the internet for the electronic delivery of services to the consumer. It comprises of the following:

  • Licensed technology developed by Saicom - The Content Ready Platform is a web application that manages content, transactions, deposits and funds allocation as well as offers the ability to generate and view specific reports.
  • Content that is either procured and stored centrally by Saicom (airtime) or sourced realtime via dedicated, secure links to other service providers and utilities (electricity).
  • The sale of the content via fixed and portable devices or personal computers.
  • Distribution and support via a network of Super Dealers throughout South Africa.

Saicom's role -

  • Supply a vending solution that is quick to implement and simplifies the management of the vending devices in the field.
  • The procurement and distribution of Kazang content and data services via Saicom's Content Ready platform.
  • Hosting and maintenance of the Content Ready platform.
  • Extend the range of Kazang content and services and make these available to the Super Dealer

Super Dealers role -

  • Commit to minimum order quantities.
  • Independently of Saicom obtain data enabled simcards and insert these into the Timpa point of sale devices.
  • Ensure they have a PC, with Internet connection and a web browser (either Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox) so that they can access the Content Ready website and carry out the administration functions necessary to operate the Kazang business.
  • Register information about the Kazang vending devices and create and manage their own Vendor groups on the Content Ready website.
  • Provide first line field support to the Vendors including administration of devices that need repairs.
